Rebecca La Marre’s artist website documents and archives her ongoing practice, including performance, publishing, video and ceramic works. La Marre stages experiments to research how words impact bodies and questioning how ideological structures, language and rituals can shape experience. Daly & Lyon designed three websites for Canadian artist Rebecca La Marre, each with a focus on a specific area of her practice. Common fundamental elements are carried across the sites, but adopting their own treatments and behaviours in each case. La Marre’s interest in text and language form the basis of the sites’ identities (Daly & Lyon).

Website developed by Matthew Luke Studio, and typeset in Mercure by Charles Mazé (Abyme, 2021). See also Plexus Copy and Apophony Press.

  1. It’s not shown in the included images, but when you visit the site and interact with the menu, you’ll see that Daly & Lyon and Matthew Luke Studio incorporated a surprising hover effect, featuring a skewed roman (see “About”) instead of Mercure’s italics which are used elsewhere.
