In her series Morgenliebe (“morning love”), Katrin Trautner portrays the eroticism of old age. It won her the Gute Aussichten award that recognizes “young German photography”. The book was designed by Felix Link in collaboration with Lukas Weber, and published by Kerber.

  1. This preference for overlapping blocks of text continues to be highly popular at German art schools, certainly at HBK Braunschweig. Variations include interlocking columns, with the lines of the right one starting in the interlinear space of the other. The solution is not always as appropriate to the topic as it is here.
  2. You’re right Florian. It’s lovely when both images and type echo each other so elegantly.
