These posters for the dystopian science fiction film Equilibrium from 2002 feature a logo that is based on Lord Haw-Haw. Drawn by Robert de Neit and released with T-26 in 1998, this wide technoid sans has no proper lowercase, but offers alternate caps for many letters. The designers of the movie logo utilized the alternate angular L. The M is a customization.
The poster shown above was designed by Concept Arts [IMDb]. For the names of the actors, the studio chose a stylistically related, albeit older typeface, M. Mitchell’s China (VGC, 1975). It additionally uses Novella (GarageFonts, 1997), an early release by Pieter van Rosmalen, nowadays of Bold Monday and CakeType. The credits are in a condensed style from David Berlow’s FB Agency family (Font Bureau, 1990).
