The Typographic Circle, a London-based organization formed in 1976 to bring together anyone with an interest in type and typography, hosts a monthly lecture series. The speaker of each lecture is invited to design a poster to promote the event. The organization’s website has an archive of posters going back to 2004.
This poster for Morag Myerscough shows her love of bold, dimensional blocks of color and big type, both of which are reflected in the letters, a slightly modified version of the 1970s Letraset face, Block Up.

It’s astonishing to see that Blocky face gets a perfect 3D distance from far to close, literally for this example.
