VICE has a new voice. The brand identity refresh was developed by the internal VICE creative directors in close collaboration with the Swiss creative studio NIZAR KAZAN + CO. We designed a family of six styles based on Lausanne and four entirely new condensed styles. The voice of VICE had to become unique without changing completely. VICE Grotesk is a contrasting typeface, as it is both vernacular and very sophisticated. The fonts are now used globally across the many channels and brands of the VICE Media Group (website, social networks, corporate, advertising, and magazine).
