Signage in the Veeartsenij, a former school for veterinarians in downtown Ghent, Belgium. Since 2015, a wing of the building has been under management by Nucleo, an organization that “tackles vacancy with art”. At this location, one of 14 addresses maintained by the artist association, some 30 artists have found a place to work.

Blanco is the moniker under which Nucleo “is expanding its platform function, offering a window into the work of artists residing at Nucleo, focusing on experimentation, reflection, encounter and presentation”. In the Veeartsenij, Blanco presents exhibitions in a former classroom on the third floor.

Throughout their communication, Nucleo/Blanco use LL Numberplate Belgium – a design by Stephan Müller, as part of a series of caps-only fonts based on car registration plates.
