Eddie Chacon – Sundown album art and singles
Sundown is the second solo studio album by singer Eddie Chacon. Produced by John Carroll Kirby, it was released on March 31, 2023, on Stones Throw Records.
The cover was designed by Justin Sloane, using a photo by Jack McKain and Sloane’s own Notre Ami. This typeface is an ongoing exploration inspired by the cover lettering of the book Notre ami Louis Jou from 1929. It’s used for the title as well as a sort of logotype, with swashy caps and a nested Ch pair. The supporting sans is another unreleased design by Sloane currently titled Office Grotesk.

Dinked Edition 235 is a limited pressing of 500 copies on 180g opaque silver vinyl that comes with a fold-out 18″×24″ poster and a banderole.
