Hartley, Charles Alliston Collins and Charles Dickens, W. F. Harvey, Elizabeth Bowen, and Rosemary Timperley. Edited by Jacquelyn Visick, it was published by Fontana Booksin 1972. Shown here is a printing from 1974, with an unchanged cover design.
The typeface is Walter Haettenschweiler’s Lawless Type. The uncredited cover designer either reproduced the letterforms directly from Lettera 2 (1961), or they used one of the phototype adaptations of this alphabet, which included Fun Caps (Lettergraphics), Rupias (Typeshop), Lawless (Hollenstein), and Fairlane Caps (Fürst).
