  1. I almost bought this beautiful font. Unfortunately, I discovered major defects: the bows of the ampersand, the P yada-yada-yada are particularly affected, which is why I suspended the purchase. A pity!

Or does it only look like that in the FontShop preview?

The roundings are fine – on the system! But there is a problem with some kerning pairs. So: all the texts were pointless.

  2. I see what you mean, Kurt. To me, it looks like FontShop does indeed show an old version of Salzmann Deco NF, a digital revival of Max Salzmann’s Dolmen and Zierdolmen by Nick Curtis. These defects appear to be fixed in the version sold on MyFonts.

Left: ampersand as shown on FontShop, with contour errors in the top counter and at the bottom right. Right: same glyph from MyFonts’ preview.

It looks like FontShop library isn’t updated any more – the platform will be shut down.
