The typeface in use is Lithops, designed by Anne-Dauphine Borione and available from Velvetyne Type Foundry. This masterfully ornate display face has a rhythm and playfulness that connects to live concerts and the improvisational style of the Grateful Dead, so it was an obvious choice.
The skull is an original illustration alluding to the Grateful Dead’s “Steal Your Face” logo.
