“Medium is a new place on the Internet where people share ideas and stories that are longer than 140 characters and not just for friends.”

Medium.com now uses JAF Bernino Sans. Nice, it’s the kind of use we had in mind, supporting widely varying topics and imagery.

  1. See also our Blog entry from 2012. Medium started out with FF Meta Serif and Myriad. In between, the site was using FF Tisa and Freight Sans.

  2. One could always expect a brilliant, user friendly interface for people to write and share but what caught my eye was the level of detail the design team gave to typography. There is an entire article about the month long venture to create good link underlines in the site (this reminded me of the beautiful essay Robin Kincross once wrote called The Typography of Indexes)

  3. The 2015 Medium redesign in FF Kievit and Charter.
