A brochure issued by British Rail’s Rail Freight division that looks at the wide range of freight wagons available along with discussing the manufacturers of them along with the relative merits of leasing and hiring. It also notes that other incentives to using such rail wagons existed including the Industry Act of 1972 and the ‘Assisted Areas’ for which grants and loans existed.
The booklet was produced in conjunction with the West of England Rail Freight Division and produced by the Publicity Department of the Western Region.
