This album of new compositions and adaptations of traditional oom-pah-pah folk music was recorded by Peter Thomas and his orchestra in Germany. The (uncredited) design of the cover isn’t particularly exceptional, but I’m posting it because it’s the first use we’ve seen of Century Modern, a swashy phototype face of uncertain origin. Thanks to Daylight Fonts for spotting it.
There’s another album using Century Modern called The Best of Percy Faith, which I think dates from either 1969 or 1970. Unfortunately the linked image is of low quality. It might be hard to find one of higher quality. But I may contribute this album anyway.
