Acme Gothic, specifically Acme Gothic Wide, is used for the main logo, with ITC Avant Garde Gothic being used for the “50,” when it appears.

“SATURDAYNIGHTLIVE” in the second image does indeed look a lot like Acme Gothic. The “SNL” logo is not a perfect match, though: the ends of S curve inward more. Could be a modification.
There is plausible evidence that the wordmark is at least based on Acme Gothic, as they used it in a promo video.

I feel pairing Acme Gothic & Avant Garde is a misstep, why have two sans typefaces together with only five characters (SNL 50)? Acme’s numeral are beautiful, use them. Use bold/black vs light if contrast is needed. Acme is so Gadsby-era while Avant Garde numerals feel very DIN.
Also seemed odd to drop this new look when we all just got used to the ’22 Blender/Grad look.
Emily Oberman gave a talk at Typographics this year about her long history of designing the title sequences for SNL. After the talk, I thanked her for using Acme Gothic on the 50th anniversary season. She said she loved it, and that, after dozens of typefaces were shown to the producers, it was the lucky winner.
Even so, it’s clear that they modified the letters “SNL”. I also agree that pairing it with Avant Garde is really weird.
