Silent Hill 2 Remake videogame
Silent Hill 2 Remake is a 2024 survival horror game and a remake of the 2001 classic, developed by Bloober Team and published by Konami on October 8th 2024. It follows James Sunderland as he returns to the town of Silent Hill after receiving a letter from his deceased wife, Mary, who claims to be there waiting for him.
Just like the original, the game uses a serif typeface for its UI. After a bit of digging in the game’s files, it turns out that Noto Serif is used as the primary typeface. Barlow is used as the secondary one, albeit in a very inconspicuous manner, used only on the button prompts and parts of the credits scene.
Main menu. Red is used as a motif throughout the UI.
Settings menu. Barlow is used on bottom right button prompts.
Game HUD. James is seen horrifyingly using a dirty syringe to heal himself, with the health items shown to the left and ammo counter to the right
