Friends is the fourteenth studio album by the Beach Boys, released on June 24, 1968, by Capitol Records. The cover artwork was designed by Geller & Butler Advertising and features typography set in Cardstyle.
The all-caps Cardstyle is used for the album title, positioned against a colorful, hand-drawn illustration by David McMacken.
On the back cover, Cardstyle is supported by Helvetica Light. The photograph is by George Whiteman.
