I’m not convinced by either the Fiedler Gothic ID or Ameristile. In both, the middle bar of E isn’t shorter. Some other details like the S aren’t quite right either, it seems – or I don’t have specimens to compare against. The S in Ameristile has flatter tops and bottoms (which also speaks against it being the right ID for the Beatles ’65 cover).
I don’t have a better suggestion at the moment. The usual suspects are: some other obscure phototypeface, a customization, or custom lettering.
