This book is the result of a publishing course given as part of the Mastère Design Social & Éthique master’s program at the design school La Fonderie de l’Image in Bagnolet, France.
The editorial direction was provided by Silvia Dore, the art direction created by Léna Bazile, Claire Bourgoin, Aline Fryet, Sara Lièvre, Arnaud Nicolas, Lucile Pinçon, Chloé Ramamonjisoa, Pauline Rohrbach, Alexine Schwob, Valéria Stechenko, Matéo Tessier, Adèle Trevilly Kerboeuf, Maya Vavasseur, and Silvia Dore, with the pedagogical direction led by Silvia Dore and Jean Marc Bretegnier.
They introduce the project as follows:
Located at an altitude of 916 meters, we observed, scoured, recorded and documented in an attempt to understand a new creative territory and all the living and non-living elements that make it up. This edition shows the research protocols and creative processes, from the field survey to the graphic layout.
The editorial concept is based on a first part detailing the collection protocols, followed by a second part presenting the more sensitive associations of this collection. To mark this transition, the edition is printed digitally and then in risograph.
