Galileo Press is Germany’s leading publisher for books on computing, design and photography. Their corporate typeface is Linotype Syntax by Hans Eduard Meier. It is used on the covers as well as the interiors of the myriads of books that have published since 1999. The Galileo Press logo is set in Syntax, too.
It is interesting that the editions for the “Adobe Creative Suite CS4, CS5” as well as the book “PDF in der Druckvorstufe” were set in Linotype Syntax, but the edition for “Dreamweaver CS5” was set in Linotype Syntax Serif.
Other books by Galileo Design such as “Grafik und Gestaltung” – edition by Claudia Korthaus, “Typografie und Layout” again in the Linotype syntax, but the book title “Das Design-Buch für Nicht-Designer” from TheAntiquaB.
