Roskilde Festival
Roskilde Festival is a non-profit, non-governmental music and culture festival in Denmark, that has existed since 1971. The festival is known for its diverse music lineups, artistic performances, and commitment to social responsibility and environmental sustainability, and is the largest cultural event in Northern Europe.
Roskilde Festival is more than just a music experience, and are also considered a charitable event. It’s often referred to as a platform for action by bridging the gap between art, sustainability, and social responsibility.The festivals ambition is to inspire and move people through the power of community.
In 2013 e-Types started working on the identity and Playtype made a bespoke typeface, Roskilde 4000. It was extended in 2023 with a Condensed style which the main typeface used in the 2023 visuals shown in this post. 4000 is the zip code of Roskilde municipality.
