For the branding of IGEPA’s ICON Papers collection, Format Design chose the Juneau typeface family by Philipp Neumeyer, which is used throughout the corporate design, except for the wordmark. The ICON Papers collection brings together a diverse range of design and fine papers that convince through consistently high quality and versatile applicability.
The typeface Juneau is used in the brand for everything from big headlines to small text in the sample book, social media and the website. The typeface’s architecture lives off a mix of ‘circular’ rounds inspired by old metal grotesques like Miller & Richard’s Grotesques, economic proportions and wide spread diagonals. The result feels dynamic and modern but not too timely. A modern classic, if you will.
