L’art graphique et moderne de Pierre Péron, Musée des Beaux-Arts de Brest

The exhibition Pierre Péron, un graphiste moderne was held in the Brest Museum of Fine Arts, 2015–2016,. The exhibition was curated by Fañch Le Henaff under direction of Pascal Aumasson and in collaboration with Françoise and Yves-Marie Péron.
Fañch Le Henaff was also responsible for the visual design, ecompassing signage, exhibition design, posters and an exhibition catalogue which was published by Éditions Locus Solus. Dedicated to the graphic work of Pierre Péron – better known as a painter than as a prolific graphic designer – the exhibition highlighted his posters, illustrations, engravings, lettering, and typographic experiments. A member of the Seiz Breur movement, Péron embraced a distinctly modern vision rooted in Breton culture.
Le Henaff, whose own practice consciously draws on this legacy, composed every support with Brito, the typeface he designed and released through the Breton type foundry Skritur. The result establishes a visual dialogue across generations, extending the formal and cultural ambitions of Seiz Breur into a contemporary typographic language.
