The Type Founders rebrand
The Type Founders has a new website* with a brand designed to support its growing family of foundries. The typographic palette includes two grotesques to handle a wide range of widths: ATF Super Condensed from American Type Founders for the logotype, and Grtsk from Black[Foundry] for subhead, byline, and other small uses. These two sans serifs are paired with Meno Display and Meno Text from Lipton Letter Design to add more expressive character.
Together, the three font families support a broad range of layouts and increasingly complex typographic hierarchies – giving the identity room to expand alongside the site – and reflect a commitment to preserving typographic heritage while nurturing the next generation of type foundries.
The website was designed by Jason Santa Maria and developed by Scott Kellum & Persa Zula.
