Difficult Shapes & Passive Rhythms Some People Think It’s Fun to Entertain is the debut studio album by the English new wave and synth-pop band China Crisis, released on 12 November 1982 by Virgin Records.
Shown here is th original UK cover, designed by Peter Saville. The band’s name and top part of the album title is set in the Ultra weight of ITC Fenice, while the bottom part of the album title is set in Futura’s Bold weight. Typography behind the band’s name uses Steile Futura.
CD reissues of the album that used a different wrapped border cover were set in Wordsworth.

There’s something I like about the sans-serif named Topic by URW. Unfortunately, it’s completely unusable for German because of the incongruous sharp s (ß). The stroke weights are disastrous compared to the other glyphs.
