Vom guten Wohnen. Vier Zürcher Hausbiografien von 1915 bis zur Gegenwart

Vom guten Wohnen is a publication presenting the biographies of four houses in Zürich, from 1915 to the present. It’s the outcome of a research project at ETH Wohnforum – ETH CASE, Center for Research on Architecture, Society and Built Environment, which examined the quality concepts for residential buildings of various ages and by various property developers in terms of their longevity.

The book was edited by Marie Antoinette Glaser and published by Niggli in 2014, in a design developed by Piero Glina and Friedrich-W. Graf at unfolded. For the typography, they paired FF Bau (FontFont) for text with LL Typ1451 (Lineto) for captions and other small text. The typeface used in all lowercase for the title is Bodoni Classic Stencil (Wiescher). It also serves for the chapter titles which are shown on fold-out pages.
