Carl Sandburg Sings His American Songbag is a 1968 folk country album by American poet Carl Sandburg (1878–1967). Recorded in New York between May 27, 1952, and June 13, 1953, it was released posthumously by Caedmon Records in 1968. The cover design by Frederick Hubicki uses a photography by William Smith and Dave West’s Fantini for the album title. The sans serif used for Carl’s name is unknown, but it bares semblances to that of Venus Extended.

I can imagine that the name is in Improvenu Wide, with a custom G. Fantini was exclusive to Photo-Lettering, so it seems likely the other settings were sourced from the New York type house as well.
Improvenu was Photo-Lettering’s improved version of Venus. From what I can see in specimens, it appears to be a match, with the exception of the G. A 1965 catalog shows an alternate lowercase g, but no other ready-made glyphs for the uppercase form.
