Just one more use of Record Gothic [update: as noted in the comments, it’s actually News Gothic] — I saw the other posts, and realized it was used on a book I’m reading now.

Good catch, Chris! The unnevenness of the baselines on the different type colors is odd. I can’t tell if it’s intentional or not.
Chiming in over 10 years after this was posted to correct the type identification: It’s not Record Gothic, but News Gothic. News Gothic Bold, which was a later addition to the News Gothic series, has a very distinctive lowercase a that always gives it away. Also, except for a few of its styles, Record Gothic mostly has smooth transitions in the counters where bowls meet vertical strokes (e.g. in bdpq), whereas News Gothic has the non-smooth “stab” connections as seen here.
