This is my personal website, as a web/graphic designer and a front-end developer from Hong Kong.
My creative and art direction for this simple one-page website is ‘direct, classy, yet with some modern twists in the details’. All essential information, who I am and how to reach me, can be read at first glance, while further information is left for users to explore interactively in the rest of the screen space.
I used GT America from Grilli Type as the primary font, because like the direction of this website it is a combination of what classy and modern are. And for the secondary font, I used Cormorant Garamond designed by Christian Thalmann. It gives more reading comfort than the traditional Garamond while preserving its elegance. And I like the design of the upright accents in this typeface as some accented letters might be used in the future in this website.
