Type By’s Couteau in use for the printed 16-page program for Spike Island Open, the annual “open weekend of inspirations and conversations, questions, provocations and delights” taking place in the Spike Island building, Bristol. Inside the program, Couteau is paired with Lineto’s LL Brown.

Once a year everyone in the Spike Island community comes together to showcase the breadth and diversity of the activity that takes place here. The weekend offers visitors not only the opportunity to explore parts of the 80,000 sq ft former Brooke Bond tea packing factory that are not normally accessible to the public, but to meet the people who work here and to get involved themselves.—Spike Island

Both typefaces where also used for the signage of the event. Next to the prominently word “OPEN” on the window front, Couteau was also used for the wayfinding inside Spike Island.
