.Es stand in der Zeitung (“It was in the newspaper”) is a collection of articles designer Lara Redmer’s father has written on regional history, originally published in the local Nahe-Zeitung newspaper and now self-published as a book. Lara Redmer comments:
When we covered typesetting at Shillington, I was 100% sure a book would be the last thing I’d ever design. But when my dad asked me for formatting help with his Word document during Christmas 2022, I said “you know that I can actually typeset and design this properly?” Well, be careful what you promise.
The chosen typefaces are GT Alpina by Grilli Type and Fabio XM by Giulia Boggio.
