Swung Note in use with its interlocking letter pairs for O Grande Kilapy (English: The Great Kilapy), an international co-production by Angola, Brazil and Portugal.
Zézé Gamboa’s sardonic historical drama follows a good-hearted, apolitical con man who, on the eve of Angolan independence in the mid-1970s, pulls off a massive swindle at the expense of the Portuguese colonial administration.
The font designed by Brazilian studio PintassilgoPrints was also used for the opening titles. Credits on the posters are set in Jim Parkinson’s space-saving ITC Roswell Three.
