German cover for “I’ll Guess I’ll Have To Cry Cry Cry” by James Brown. This song is noted as the last single by Brown to give label credit to his vocal group, The Famous Flames.
The letterforms used for the singer’s name seem to use a solidified version of Photo-Lettering’s Halloween. It might be a case of lettering derived from typeface, or maybe there was a knockoff by another phototype provider. There are a few differences that go beyond the omission of Halloween’s contour lines around counters and apertures, see e.g. A or M. J appears to be a mirrored L.
The other text is set in Helvetica, with tight letterspacing but loose wordspacing.
